Meet on September 4 to relax on the beautiful grounds and enjoy a Welcome Dinner, then spend the first night at the luxurious Villa Malpensa. It is located just 15 minutes from Milan's Malpensa airport. Next morning we bus to the small and beautiful town of Stresa, called the "Pearl of the Lake." Our home here will be the 4* Milan Speranza Hotel au lac, a beautiful Italian Hotel where each person will have a sea view and enjoy superb regional meals. To make the most of our time we will locate in this most charming town and fan out daily to delightful motifs. We'll take painting excursions to nearby Lake Orta, to gardens and islands as well as to a wonderful village in Switzerland just an hour away! Stresa has a lovely promenade along the shoreline. Be inspired by warm Italian colors and breathtaking Lake Maggiore with the Alps in the distance. You may choose your paintings from landscapes, harbors, architecture and street scenes. The wines of this area are wonderful and Stresa offers lots of shopping and unique activities. We suggest an afternoon departure Sept 14.

DON ANDREWS comes with a plan to have a lot of fun and to help you bring back watercolor paintings of this strikingly lovely area. Each day Don will demonstrate a different lesson with a strong emphasis on design and color. There is so much to choose from, it is perfect for artists!
